Mark started up Maincorp Construction Group in 2000, a company which provides professional services in all aspects of construction, specialising in residential projects.

Mark brings a diverse range of experience and skills in the full process of project delivery from his experience managing various commercial and residential projects. His ability to lead project teams to achieve overall project objectives in an efficient and co-operative manner supports Maincorp’s objectives to complete projects on time and to a high quality in a team based co-operative environment.

Maincorp Construction Group is now in its 20th year and has gained considerable experience in Residential projects winning five MBA Excellence in Housing Awards, (2003, 2004, two in 2011 & 2014) and one MBA Merit award (2007) across various price categories of $1-$2.5M.

Lipman Pty Ltd, Neutral Bay, 1988

Mark joined Lipman Pty Ltd, one of the largest commercial building companies around Sydney in August 1988 as Foreman/Site Manager responsible for a number of projects including:

After a break between 1991 and 1995, where Mark was Project Manager for a stone/tiling company and self-employed in his own project management and cost planning company.

Mark returned to Lipman Pty Ltd as Site Manger on a $20 million Qantas refurbishment project and Project Manager on the $4.0 million Lakes Business Park at Lord Street, Botany project.

Mark was intimately involved in the procurement and establishment of the $20 million Mosman Manors Retirement Village at Hale Rd, Mosman and the $26 million Sydney Mansions project in Goulburn Street, Sydney.

Gordon became Construction Director for MainCorp Construction Group Pty Ltd on 26 March 2001, and as the licensee for the group is responsible for the construction of all residential contracts.

Caromac Pty Ltd.

In 1991 Gordon formed Caromac Pty Ltd a prestige residential construction company. Gordon is responsible for some of the most prestigious residential construction around Sydney:

Balmoral Tree House and Taylor Residence where published in the Belle Magazine and the Lippmann Residence a joint venture between the owner architect won the “House of the Year” in the 1999 edition of Belle Magazine.

Gordon re-joined Beacon Building Services Pty Ltd in 1987 as Construction Manager and within one year became a Director / Shareholder of the company.

In 1983 Gordon formed a medium-sized building company in Merriwa, which carried out residential construction on rural properties in the New South Wales country region.
